I have been involved in tiger research in Central Sumatra since 2014. My team and I published in various outlets including scientific journals (such as PLoS ONE 7(1), Oryx 47(2)), conservation strategies and guidelines for plantation to help conserve the tiger,  as well as various popular materials. I obtained my PhD in Wildlife Sciences from Virginia Tech, USA, in 2011; MSc from University of East Anglia, UK; and Sarjana Sains in Biology from the University of Indonesia, in 1996.  I am a co-founder and currently serve as the chair of the advisory board for HarimauKita, the Sumatran Tiger Conservation Forum.
