Michael Baltzer
I lead WWF's Tigers Alive Initiative. This Initiative is a WWF network effort to support the global action to lift tigers from extinction and on the path to population recovery and stability. I am a conservation biologist and have led large scale ambitious conservation programmes in Asia, Europe and Africa. I specialise in strategy development and coordinated action to ensure conservation objectives are met. My primary focus is on the recovery of the tiger but I work closely with other cat species projects in Asia and more recently in Africa as the impact of the Asian demand for tiger parts stretches to lions and leopards.
