Zalmai Moheb
I started my career as wildlife biologist in 2006 when I first joined Wildlife Conservation Society Afghanistan Program. I received my Master’s in Wildlife Science from India in 2009 and then I completed my PhD from 2015 – 2020 at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, USA. My Master’s thesis focused on Marco Polo argali food habit and competition with yaks, whereas my PhD Dissertation focused on snow leopard-human conflict in Wakhan National Park in northeastern Afghanistan. I have conducted research on snow leopard, Persian leopard, and their wild prey species e.g., ibex, markhor, urial, and argali in different parts of Afghanistan.
