Melissa M. Grigione member since 1998
2006-Present. Full Professor, Pace University, Graduate Program in Environmental Science, Department of Biology & Health Sciences. Research program focuses on mammalian spatial ecology – with particular emphases on felids and other carnivores. My research emphasizes conservation biology because I work with species whose populations have been severely altered as a consequence of habitat degradation and fragmentation. In addition to wildlife biology, conserving these species requires an intimate knowledge of political and legislative systems, and community-level human dimension practices. My recent geographic focus is North and South America.
