Tiasa Adhya
I co-founded The Fishing Cat Project, the longest running research and conservation program on the Fishing Cat, in 2010. Over the years, I have worked with multiple stakeholders including government agencies (wildlife and non-wildlife departments), non-government partners, local residents, school and college students, media and artists to prioritize the conservation of Fishing Cats. Me and my team have worked in the states of West Bengal and Odisha (Chilika lagoon) and briefly in the Dudhwa National Park in Uttar Pradesh on the Fishing Cat. I received the highest civilian award for women in India for my work in 2016.
