My work primarily concentrates on the conservation of endangered species conservation in China. Over the past decade, I have channeled most of my effort into snow leopard and Asian elephant conservation. Since 2007, my team has undertaken projects working to establish a complete research and monitoring network for snow leopards in China. We have since conducted surveys covering multiple mountain ranges with snow leopard distribution, and some notable study sites include Pamirs Plateau, west and east Tianshan, Altai, and Bortala in Xinjiang, Mt. Qomolangma in Tibet, Luoxu and Baoxing in Sichuan, and Mt. Qilianshan and Axe in Gansu provinces. In addition to scientific-based approaches, community conservation is a key aspect in most of our projects. I am a member of the IUCN SSC Cat Specialist Group and serve on the Steering Committee of Snow Leopard Network (SLN).
