I have conducted wild-cat research since the mid-1990s and completed my PhD on Serengeti cheetah population dynamics in 2000. I am an expert in camera trapping techniques and analyses beginning in 2001, and have run such projects across the globe (e.g. tigers in Sumatra and Nepal; lions in Senegal; pumas in Chile and Argentina; multiple felids in Botswana). I have a long-term focus on jaguars, pumas, and ocelots in Central America and on bobcats in the US. I use camera-trapping, genetic sampling of scats, and GPS collaring to gain new information on wild felid population status and health.
