Sugoto Roy Programme Officer
I have worked in government departments, NGOs, IGOs and universities for significant periods of time, and have over 25 years experience in wildlife management, conservation and research. I have managed national, regional and global project portfolios specializing in the ecology and management of carnivores, invasive species and human wildlife conflicts. These have been in the UK, the UK Overseas Territories, South and South East Asia, Japan, the Indian Ocean and Southern Africa. Over the last ten years I have focused on large carnivore conservation. This included establishing and running a tiger conservation programme at the IUCN Secretariat. My most recent role involved coordinating a series of projects in Southern Africa, as part of the "Africa Range-Wide Cheetah Conservation Initiative". I have now joined the team at the Cat Specialist Group as a programme officer and am looking forward to the adventures ahead.
