My association with Asiatic lions spans two decades, covering a range of topics – demography, behaviour, and conservation. My PhD was from the Wildlife Institute of India on ‘Reproductive strategy and behaviour of male Asiatic lions’. Presently, I focus on conservation challenges at the human-lion interface outside protected area and envision a long-term project investigating lion-leopard-human coexistence through my consultancy organization, CCR. I undertake research projects and status surveys on Indian wildlife. I am actively involved in sensitizing people on conservation through environment education programmes, scientific writing, popular talks and articles.  I teach specific modules for postgraduate students. My latest affiliation is with BNHS, Mumbai as Senior Project Scientist
