I earned my B.Sc. degree in animal science from the Teconológico de Monterrey in Mexico and have a M.S. and a Ph.D. in Wildlife Ecology from Texas A&M University-Kingsville. I have worked as a cat field researcher for over 25 years in projects related to the evaluation of population dynamics of different American and African felines such as the jaguarundi, ocelot, margay, jaguar and the African lion and leopard. I now work as President of NGO Predator Conservation and have been an advisor for different institutions such as the USFWS, Texas Parks and Wildlife, TAWIRI and NASA.
