I have supported, since 2008, the conservation of snow leopards and their prey in Pakistan, Tajikistan and Kyrgyzstan, through monitoring, setting up of local conservation ngos, community-based conservancies and measures to reduce human-leopard conflict. Since 2018 I lead a project on the conservation of the Persian leopard in Turkmenistan and Kazakhstan, indirectly benefiting research and knowledge on caracal, Asiatic wild cat,jungle cat, lynx, Pallas' cat and sand cat. Since early 2023 I am Director of Central Asia Programs for Conservation X Labs.
