The lynx is a very discret animal which is difficult to observe. Since 1976, the lynx is again present in the Valais. However, the number of lynx inhabiting the Valais is not well known. Nevertheless, it is possible to map the sectors in which the lynx presence has been confirmed by the game wardens, biologists and naturalists. This article presents the current actual knowledge (2009) on the lynx distribution in the Valais. |
