Yury Darman
I am a wildlife biologist, working for 45 years in wildlife conservation as Deputy science director in Khingansky nature reserve and Land of the Leopard national park, as a senior researcher in Amur Research Center of Russian Academy of Science and as a Director of Amur branch of WWF Russia. Under my leadership, new protected areas on 20 000 km2 were created in Amur tiger and leopard range. I am one of the authors of Conservation strategies for these species and an initiator of the Amur leopard reintroduction program. I am an Honorary Member of the Global Tiger Forum and Northeast China Felid Research Center.
