I am a conservation programme Director at NACRES, the oldest NGO in Georgia, which I joined in 1995 and worked on large mammal conservation since then. Monitoring of the key large mammal populations, including Eurasian lynx in protected areas is one of my major priorities. I have also participated in various Persian leopard conservation activities, including development of conservation action plans and rediscovering the leopard via camera traps in 2003 and recently in 2021. The Leopard is considered as the rarest species in Georgia and our ultimate goal is to ensure its long term survival in the country through regional cooperation.
