The ACT component focusses on the implementation of actions as defined in the planning process, to save species from extinction and improve their conservation status. The Cat SG contributes to the ACT component by providing training and education, working with the conventions, supporting conservation programmes and projects, providing technical advice, supporting and collaborating with different affiliated groups that are implementing conservation projects and by maintaining specific working groups.

Some topics may require the input and dedication of experts on this subject over an extended period, and some topics may even require regular reconsideration to incorporate the latest findings. The Cat SG establishes temporary or permanent, internal Working Groups according to our demand and necessity.
