Francesco Maria Angelici
National Center for Wildlife
Member since 2002.
I currently work at the National Center for Wildlife, Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, as a UNEP expert. Among other things, I am working on the plan for the captive breeding and reintroduction of the cheetah, the caracal, the sand cat. We are also starting a national project on all carnivores in Saudi Arabia. I still collaborate with lion and leopard conservation in Nigeria and Ghana, having worked on these projects for many years. I also follow some studies and theses on the European wild cat and the lynx in Italy. My primary interests are, beyond conservation, biogeography, systematics and taxonomy.
