Royal Zoological Society of Scotland
I am the Head of Conservation and Science Programmes at the Royal Zoological Society of Scotland. I am a specialist is Conservation Genetics, working for the past decade with the RZSS WildGenes lab and prior to that on hybridisation in deer. I am also active in conservation planning for species recovery. I am the project lead for the Saving Wildcats project, an EULife funded programme which aims to return wildcats back to Scotland. My areas of knowledge are: practical application of conservation genetics, hybridisation, taxonomy, Arabia, North Africa, Central & SE Asia, Scotland, conservation planning and management, capacity building.
