Jose María Gil Sánchez
University of Granada, chairman of Harmusch Wildlife Research and Conservation
I am a field biologist, senior scientist and member of the Biology and Conservation of Mediterranean and Tropical Vertebrates group at the University of Granada, and chairman of Harmusch Wildlife Research and Conservation. I was involved in the 2001-2013 Iberian lynx conservation programs, and currently the European wildcat focuses my efforts, along with a line of studies on North African carnivores since 2011 that includes the sand cat and the North African wildcat in Morocco, and collaboration in lion monitoring in Senegal. Between 2015 and 2016 I was studying the relationships between felines and humans in the Amazon of Ecuador.
