Miha Krofel
University of Ljubliana
I am employed as a research fellow and assistant professor at University of Ljubljana, Slovenia. My research has focused on ecology and conservation of carnivores, which resulted in >100 published scientific papers and book chapters. Most of my work on felids focuses on Eurasian lynx and European wildcats across Europe, leopards and cheetahs in Namibia, and snow leopards in Mongolia. I have also been involved in research on tigers, lions, Sunda clouded leopards, leopard cats, pumas, Iberian lynx and Pallas' cats. Besides, I am involved in several international conservation projects, focusing mainly on supporting recovery of carnivore populations and preventing human-carnivore conflicts.
