Wildlife Ecology and Conservation Group, Wageningen University & Research
Member since 2013.
Since 2007 my focus has been on African large carnivore conservation and research, first with my MSc project that explored cheetah habitat selection in the Serengeti, Tanzania followed by my PhD research on interactions between cheetahs, lions and spotted hyaenas in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. In 2013, I established the Mara Cheetah Project in Kenya and between 2018 and 2021, I worked with the Kenya Wildlife Service on a country-wide survey of large carnivores. I am currently an Assistant Professor at Wageningen University and Research in The Netherlands and continue to focus on big cat research and conservation in Africa.
