Panthera
I am the Regional Carnivore Monitoring Coordinator for West and Central Africa at Panthera. My PhD research in the South Africa Karoo region focused on farmer-predator interactions, especially involving caracals. Post-PhD, I drafted a national conservation plan for the Eurasian lynx in France, later integrated into a government national action plan. In 2020, I contributed to Panthera’s work on the Arabian leopard. Since 2021, I lead large-scale camera-trap and threat surveys in West Africa to evaluate the status of leopards and African golden cats. These findings contribute to species status assessments, conservation planning, and policy development, supporting evidence-based conservation interventions.
