Deniz Mengüllüoglu
I am a wildlife ecologist and geneticist focusing on the wildlife populations living in Turkey. I have been conducting research on the prey and habitat preferences, spatial ecology, genetic diversity and phylogenetics of the Eurasian lynx, caracal, brown bear and grey wolf. I have also participated in reintroduction projects of multiple herbivore species at various parts of Turkey. I am leading the Anatolian lynx and the jungle Cat research projects. Currently, I am a freelance biologist raising funds to assess conservation requirements of the six extant felid species: leopard, lynx, caracal, jungle cat, European and Afro-Asiatic wild cat in Anatolia.
