I am a Wildlife Conservationist whose focus has been on human-wildlife coexistence in Africa. Since 2001, I have studied large carnivores in Kenya, Namibia, South Africa and Botswana. I was the lead author on the IUCN Red List Status Update for Leopards in 2016 and I lead the nonprofit organization CLAWS Conservancy which is based in the USA. As part of CLAWS, I developed Pride in Our Prides a community based lion conservation program in the Okavango Delta, Botswana. I am a member of the IUCN Cat Specialist Group, African Lion Working Group, KAZA Carnivore Conservation Coalition, National Geographic Explorer and have published over 20 peer-reviewed manuscripts.
