Zoo New England

I am the Director of Field Conservation for Zoo New England, supporting over 30 conservation programs around the world, including on lions in Africa, snow leopards in Mongolia, and jaguars in Mexico. I also run the Sabin Snow Leopard Grants Program, co-authored five chapters in the book “Snow Leopards (2024), and have been on the last two IUCN Red List Assessment committees for the snow leopard. Previous to my current post I worked for 23 years at the Wildlife Conservation Society, holding the positions of Regional Director for Temperate Asia, Director of the Training and Capacity Building Program, Snow Leopard Program Coordinator, and Senior Conservation Advisor for the Wildlife Health Program. In those positions I have helped design and supervise projects on snow leopards in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Tajikistan, Uzbekistan, and Tibet, along with Amur tigers in the Russian Far East and northeast China.
