Between 1891-1.1.2008, 2703 (1230.1256.217) snow leopards have been recorded in the International Studbook. Of these animals, 88% (1073.1103.206) have been captive-born 1910-2007, while 12% (157.153.11) have been caught from the wild. At the beginning of 2008, 445 animals were living in 205 institutions outside the People's Republic of China. |
