| First record of Pallas's cat from Fars Province, Southern Iran | |

On 21 November 2012 an observation of a Pallas's cat_ Otocolobus manul_ was reported to the Abadeh office of the Department of Environment (DoE) in the north of Fars Province, I. R. Iran. It was the first confirmed record of Pallas's cat from this province, while there are only a few records of this species from Iran. It confirms that Pallas's distribution extends further to the south of Iran than previously thought. |
