This study was concentrated on five village hunting zones in the North-east of the Central African Republic. During the warm - dry season, line transects were walked by 17 teams of 3 persons each. The five village hunting zones comprised 100,000 animal and a biomass of about 3,000 kg/km2 of which wild ungulates compose more than 95%. In the analysis, the impact of game hunting was found to be minimal and not to be danger to the hunted populations.
