Plan d'actions pour la Conservation du Lion au B‚nin | |
2014 Full Book | |
The Republic of Benin is determined to conserve lions and therefore adopted the present Lion conservation Action Plan. The plan is based on a workshop held in Grand Popo on the 5 and 6 December 2012 with diverse stakeholders. The plan defines various activities for the next 5 years that will ensure the achievement of the goal of lion conservation and sustainable management in Benin. The specific objectives are to manage lions sustainably, conserve their habitat and prey, reduce human-lion conflicts and improve the institutional framework. The plan takes into account the fact that Benin's lion populations are transboundary populations and encourages synergy with neighbouring countries. The plan follows a 'logical framework' that can be found in French and in English as an annex. |
