Four dead and one injured Iriomote cats (_Felis iriomotensis_) were found in 1995. The injured cat died soon after the capture for medical treatments. Of the five individuals, three were killed in traffic accidents, one was killed by domestic dogs, whereas the cause of death was not specified for the other one. Pathological postmortem examinations were conducted on four of those cats. |
