Kuzminykh, I.A.
Some aspects of husbandry and current status of the captive population of snow leopard
2006  Conference Proceeding

The Author argues that the decreased growth rate of the size of the captive population of Snow leopard can be explained by the introduction of strict measures of the restriction of breeding in the EEP population (Blomqvist, 2002). Conservation of Snow leopards in Kirgizia based on the semi-captive management technique is described. It is suggested that the same method could be used for the conservation of Snow leopards in the species' natural habitats in Altai.
