Eurasian lynx in the Apennine region: A possible return? A feasibility pre-study for the reintroduction of Lynx lynx in Umbria
2008  Conference Proceeding

The overlapping and elaboration of the two regional maps of food and habitat offers, generate the map of Umbrian ecological suitability for Eurasian lynx, scaled in null, low, medium and high levels. The main concentration of the last two levels occurs throughout Umbrian relieves: Apennines, _Monti Martani_, _Monti Amerini_, _Monti del Peglia_. The map therefore reveals the existence of at least 5 sites of critical connectivity, where the habitat resource availability appears to not be able to allow connectivity between patches.
