We applied in an area of about 20 km2 a photo-trapping protocol combined with a non-invasive genetic sampling using hair traps, baited with Valeriana officinalis, and an opportunistic scat collection. Analyzing the video-captures, we identified 13 different wildcat individuals, the genetic analyses provided 7 different genotypes attributable to Felis silvestris silvestris. |
