On the predatory habits of lions and hyaenas

So much has been written about the predatory habits of the African lion (_Panthera leo_) and the spotted hyaena (_Crocuta crocuta_) that it seems unlikely to unearth anything new about these wellknown animals. Yet the writer made certain observation in the Kalahari Gemsbok Park which prove that the last word on these animals' predatory habits has not yet been spoken.
