Environmental authorities articulated in the "Sistema Regional de µreas Protegidas del Caribe (SIRAP Caribe)", considering the high rates of transformation of strategic ecosystems and recognizing that a fundamental aspect of land management is the interconnection between different categories of protected areas defined in October 2011, the design and implementation of the "Strategy for the Caribbean Connectivity" from mosaics of terrestrial and marine ecosystems strategic whose core was protected areas. Such a strategy which includes knowledge, positioning and coordination of specific actions, based on strengthening links between social organizations and institutions, conservation, maintenance and sustainable use of ecosystems. Advances are highlighted in the joint planning exercises of Environmental Authorities, through strategies that value the importance of species within the planning, management and conservation of the Colombian Caribbean. |
