Scottish wildcat conservation - past, present, future
2018 Conference Proceeding
With the most recent population estimation of 115-314 individual Scottish Wildcats _Felis silvestris_, it is of no surprise that the Wildcat population in Scotland is considered Critically Endangered. As the United Kingdom's last remaining wild living wild cat species, following the extinction of the Lynx _Lynx lynx_, it is of the upmost importance that effective conservation measures are put in place to secure the future of the species. |
