The ROCAL meeting for the conservation of large carnivores marked the third occasion in three years that experts from all over the world have gathered before in Maroua, Cameroon, to discuss the challenges associated with the conservation and management of large carnivores in sub-Saharan Africa and to find practical solutions for large carnifore management in West- and Central Africa. The current notes will provide an overview of the presentations and discussions as well as the most important conclusions reached during the 2-day seminar. |
