Panthera,
Project Pardus - Saving the world's most persecuted big cat
2014  Pamphlet

The Vision: The leopard (_Panthera pardus_) has the widest range of all the big cats, spanning much of Africa and Eurasia, with nine recognized subspecies. Despite their extensive range, and the fact that untold variations of leopard print make it the most ubiquitous and recognizable statement of fashion today, the leopard is now the most persecuted large cat in the world. Leopards require vast landscapes; healthy prey populations; and relief from relentless and persistent killing whether from poorly managed trophy hunting operations, conflict with livestock and people, and the demand for their skins, claws and teeth for illegal markets.
