Currently Asian Leopard Specialist Society is in the early stages of phase-1 of the first countrywide Persian Leopard Conservation Plan (PLCP-1) in Iran. The plan will be conducted using private and non-governmental financial sponsorships. Considering fast rate of degradation of the leopard habitats in various parts of the country, this is crucial to conduct a countrywide conservation plan along with systematic researches with appropriate prioritizations. Therefore, we divided our activities to 2 main parts of: (i) Country-wide systematic researches, (ii) Large scale research-based conservation programs. |
