The study area of the program ECOFAC - Foret de Ngotto is comprised of two sectors: The 'Parc National de la Mbaere-Bodingue' (80 000 ha) where these two rivers come together, and the zone of sustainable developement (almost 770 000 ha) surrounding it. The aims of the study were twofold: 1) Implement a simple and feasible protocol to track the abundance of species with an touristic interest in the savannah mosaic/tropical forest. 2) Study signs of wildlife exploitation by the local population. |
