The Sundarban is the biggest naturally occurring mangrove forest in the world. The Sundarban mangrove forests constitute about 4% of the total land area of our country. It is unique not only of its floristic composition but also wide varieties of wild life habitat with its culture & heritage of the country. Among the wildlife the Bengal tiger is famous for its unique & majestic nature & behaviour. Various study show difference in the number of Bengal tiger in Bangladesh past. But the recent study shows that the number of Bengal tiger in Sundarbans is about 362. The maximum man killing by Bengal tiger occurs 1774 that is 56 and lowest 1997 are 1.
