The mission of the Cat Specialist Group (CatSG) is to support and advance the conservation of all free-living cat species. The CatSG is one of over 100 such groups of the Species Survival Commission of the World Conservation Union (IUCN). Its 200 members come from 49 countries and include international scientists, wildlife managers, and conservationists affiliated with universities, government agencies, and non-governmental organizations. By region, the largest number of members come from the United States, followed by Europe (with Britain the largest group), and Asia (with India the largest group).
