Survey on amur tigers in Jilin Province

Eight year's field survey ascertains that the seven to nine Amur tigers (_Panthera tigris altaica_) distribute over three areas in Jilin Province. Three to five tigers distribute over Dalongling area, one over Haerbaling, and three over Zhangguangcailing area. The suitable habitats for Amur tigers are hills with middle-aged, mixed forest dominated by oak, with the altitude of 800 to 1 100 meters, where human population density is 15 individuals/km2, and the density of prey including wild boar, roe deer and red deer is 2.5 individuals/km2.
