General objectives for the lynx in V„sterbotten The general objectives for the species are the following: -Population size should stay at about the same level as today (2006). -Management zones are established, but these are flexible and tightly follow the development of the lynx population. -The distribution of family groups shall be even between Sami villages (i.e. groups of Reindeer herders working in the same area and comprising an economic unit) and in the County as a whole. -The people living in V„sterbotten shall keep their current positive attitudes towards the lynx. |
