A Cougar, _Felis concolor_, Kitten Killed and Eaten by Gray Wolves, _Canis lupus_, in Glacier National Park, Montana
1989 The Canadian Field-Naturalist (103): 408-409
The partly consumed body of a freshly-killed Cougar (_Felis concolor_) kitten was discovered along the tracks of a Gray Wolf (_Canis lupus_) pack in Glacier National Park, Montana. Tracks indicated that the wolves chased and killed the kitten after it left the security of a large conifer where it had been treed. |
