In order to investigate ecology of tiger in the buffer zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve (CTR), I focused on the following objectives: 1. To study the habitat conditions and abundance of prey species of tigers in buffer zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. 2. To study the abundance and seasonal habitat use of tigers in buffer zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. 3. To study the feeding ecology of tigers in buffer zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. 4. To study the socio-economic conditions and level of tiger-human conflict in and around buffer zone of the Corbett Tiger Reserve. 5. To suggest strategies for mitigation of tiger-human conflict and long term conservation of tiger in the Corbett tiger Reserve.
