This book contains the proceedings and resolution of the Conference on the Conservation of the Jaguar in Costa Rica held in 1992 and facilitated by the Direccion General de Vida Silvestre del Ministerio de Recursos Naturales, Energia y Minas. The first part of the book contains a collection of the presentations held at the conference and questions posed during the following discussions. Distribution, habitat, natural history, and predation on livestock are addressed. An article on Conservation and Control of felid predators in Costa Rica is included. The second part of the book contains the final plenary discussion, as well as conclusions and recommendations made by the conference participants. |
