This is the draft of an international snow leopard recovery plan, submitted to the Species Surivival Commission Cat Specialist Group. Its objectives are to use the snow leopard as a keystone species and ambassador for the mountain environment, and to expant current knowledge about the species. Snow leopards should be protected inside and outside of protected areas, corridors between protected areas should be established and the prey base for snow leopards secured.
