Impacto das atividades humanas nos carnivoros no estado do Maranhao (Impact of human activities on carnivores in the state of Maranhao)
1998  Pesquisa em Foco (SÆo Lu¡s) (6): 67-77

The impacts of human activities on the carnivores in the state of MaranhÆo was studied. Habitat loss and fragmentation was the most important activity negatively affecting all species: Habitat alteration came second, negatively impacting almost all species, except _Cerdocyon thous_ and _Conepatus semistriatus_, which are being favored by the process of forest degeneration. There was a strong association between species status and the amount and intensity of impacting factors.
