A sighting of a large group of pumas (_Puma concolor_)
1995  Southwestern Naturalist (40): 226-227

The cheetah, feral house cat, and lion are gregarious and display complex social behavior. All other species of Felidae, including the puma, tend to be solitaty, having only brief interactions during mating and the rearing of young. We are unaware of any records of free-ranging groups of more than 6 pumas. Here we describe a nocturnal gathering of 10-11 pumas.
