Although a case of scavenging by cheetah is known from the Kruger National Park, none of the East African studies of their feeding habits has reported cheetah cating anything other than prey that they had killed themselves. Indeed, in a recent review of five large African carnivores, cheetah are singled out as being the only species that does not supplement its diet by scavenging. |
